Krystian has just sent me a link to his new web page about Atom Interface. It is his project related to representation of tree structures. He uses the atom metaphor to represent structured information in an innovative way. (You can see a very comprehensive explanation in his YouTube video)
He also takes into consideration the basic usability guidelines (like users’ ability to learn easily) and I find it very applicable in many domains.
By my opinion, the most interesting thing about this new way of representation are the lines that connect concepts. It seems to me that those connections between atoms represent a promising area of future research.
